Universal Ophthalmic Instruments, Inc, or UOI, has grown to be of the largest providers of ophthalmic equipment in the southwest. We are proud to have earned our position in this marketplace by hard work and obligation.

Established in 1982 by Jim Miller, CEO, and Terry Ulrich, President, we have been providing to ophthalmic practices, agencies and institutions, the highest quality equipment and supplies from some of the most trusted leading manufacturers. Now with over 85 plus years of combined experience in the ophthalmic field, our founders are dedicated to teaching employees not only the technical aspects of the industry but also the importance of building trusted, long term customer relationships.

We are licensed by the State of Texas to sell both new and pre-owned equipment and usually have a good inventory of used equipment on hand.

With multiple offices in Texas and Arizona and representation in Colorado and Utah we can respond faster to your service needs in up to 12 states.
