Applanation Tonometers are still the most widely used
instruments to measure inter-ocular pressure.
The advantages of the "Goldmann" method are
considerable. The measurement can be carried out on the patient sitting at the
slit lamp in conjunction with other routine microscopic examinations. The
accuracy of the measurement is extremely high. The average deviation in any one
single examination does not exceed +/- 0.5. mm HG. Furthermore, repeated
measuring procedures do not reduce the ocular pressure, as no massing effect
occurs. Last but not least, there are no standardization or calibration
difficulties.
R900
Applanation Tonometer
The R900 Applanation Tonometer is produced for those who prefer the
tonometer to remain permanently on the slit lamp. It is mounted on a pivot on
the microscope and for examination is swung forward in front of the microscope.
The applanation surface is to be examined in a monocular manner through the left
ocular.

BQ Applanation Tonometer
The BQ Applanation Tonometer is especially made to fit the BQ
stereo-microscope. Apart from the working position, there are also two resting
positions. For perfect tonometric examination of the left and right eye the tonometer is swung in front of the microscope and the
illumination unit moved from the left to touch the bracket of the tonometer. In
this position, the left and right eyes of the patient can be examined without
difficulty (to 60°).

BC900
/ BD900
Applanation Tonometer
The BC900 / BD900 Slit Lamp accepts the traditional Goldmann Tonometer (a blue filter
is built-in to the Slit Lamp) which mounts onto the microscope and can be
swiveled into position when required.

870
Applanation Tonometer
The Applanation Tonometer 870 is to be mounted over the microscope of the
slit lamp. The feeler arm protrudes from above into the path of the microscope
and the illumination unit. The Tonometer is ready four use with a single swing
movement of the feeler arm.

Perkins
Hand Held Applanation Tonometer
The Perkins has been established for well over 20 years as a
"world standard" for hand held applanation tonometers.
Goldmann Standards Based on Goldmann
principles and utilizing the original Goldmann or Tonosafe disposable
prisms, the Perkins combines proven technology with the flexibility of a
hand held instrument.
Portable Post-operative, bed-ridden, and
pediatric patients have always been difficult to examine by traditional
applanation tonometry methods. The Perkins was designed specifically
with these patients in mind.
Versatile and Accurate Tonometry In busy
clinics and practices with limited resources, there are times when a
hand-held applanation tonometer is more convenient and cost effective
for
examining multiple patients.
Combined with convenience and versatility, the Perkins offers proven
accuracy and brilliant visibility. Precision counter-balanced movements
allow reading to be taken with the patient in any position. The
illumination system provides superior fluorescein, greatly enhancing the
familiar "semi-circles" which are vital to attaining accurate results.
Every Perkins Tonometer is calibrated to the highest quality standards
and comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Accuracy.
Examine at Arms Length The optional Perkins
Examination Telescope (P.E.T.) allows magnified viewing of the
fluorescein "semi-circles" at arms length, making examinations more
comfortable for both the ophthalmic professional and the patient. And
because the P.E.T. also makes it possible for two people to view
simultaneously, it can be used as an effective teaching aid.
Accessories The Perkins Tonometer comes
standard with a lightweight, compact carrying case, Goldmann Prism and
battery operated handle taking four AA size batteries. Accessories
include a rechargeable handle and recharging unit and Tonosafe
disposable prisms. |

GENTLE
Pulsair
Easyeye is streamlined, quiet and
now, with constant puff monitoring technology. There's no
discomfort, just a gentle puff of air. You can prove how gentle
the puff is with a demonstration on the patient's hand before you
start. With the new soft puff they will feel much more at
ease, which will significantly reduce the squeezing effect and
give you more consistent readings. |
AFFORDABLE |
ACCURATE
Pulsair
EasyEye is the only handheld non contract tonometer with over 17 years
of clinical experience.
A
recently published study has established the accuracy of Pulsair in
relation to applanation tonometry.*
The
same study has confirmed that Pulsair could replace applanation
tonometry or the two methods could be interchangeable.
Based
on 150 eyes with an IOP range of 10mm Hg to 44mm Hg "Pulsair is as
accurate as Goldmann tonometry in the population studied and has
distinct advantages".

MOBILE
-
Pulsair is the only clinically proven handheld non
contact tonometer
you can use on all your
patients.

Reichert introduced the first non-contact tonometer in 1972.
Overview
The AT555
utilizes a patented hands-free automatic alignment system, enabling any member
of your staff to take an accurate IOP measurement in seconds.
The operator simply slides the headrest to the left or right and invites the
patient to position their head against the comfortable headrest pad. The AT555
automatically detects which eye is being measured, takes the measurement, and
displays the results on the LCD screen. Measurement data can be easily printed
with the push of a button.
Reichert introduced the first non-contact tonometer in 1972.

/ Pachymeter is the first fully integrated tonometer / pachymeter, combining
the measurement of IOP and CCT into one instrument.Designed in response to numerous clinical
studies that have shown the importance of measuring central corneal thickness
as well as intraocular pressure in the management of glaucoma patients, the
ATP instrument combines both functions and provides complete information on a
simple-to-read, color display.
