Stimulate Your Practice
The Stimuli® is a refraction device
that replaces the old technology, the automated projector. Stimuli
eliminates the "memory effect" by bringing virtually unlimited charts to
the patient in a random manner. All functions are at the practitioners'
finger tips.
Computerized Projection. The Stimuli System Includes the Apple iMac computer with built-in monitor, Stimuli Software and the hand controller. Adaptability. All Stimuli units can be calibrated from long, short, or folded examination rooms for direct or mirrored viewing. Chart information can be graphical, via on-screen display, or audible via verbal line read-out. Stimuli features automatic daily start-up and shut-down. Exceptional Capabilities. The Stimuli supports many types of acuity charts, optotypes, associated vision tests and fixation devices in a simple remote controlled unit. The Stimuli system offers more than 16 major selectable features, including LogMar, Snellen or Decimal units. An internal CD player may be utilized for room background music. Hand Controller. The wireless remote controls the functions of the Stimuli. The buttons are grouped in a logical layout with the most commonly used buttons grouped in a circular pattern around a single button in the middle. The controller allows the practitioner to remain in eye contact with the patient while conducting the examination and selecting one of the features. Tests. Upon initial start-up, the first test is the multi-line acuity chart. Other available charts include the Red/Green that can be isolated and reversed, the unique sizable 4-Dot, the Fixation test on black or white screen, Astigmatic dial with controllable indicator and Time and Date charts. Once a chart is selected, the different optotypes can be changed. Pediatrics. The Stimuli System is excellent for examining pediatric patients. In addition to standard pediatric animals that never require repair, a Stimuli Pediatric version is available with a suite of appealing optotypes – tumbling E's and C's, cartoons and tests. |
