
 
Dual CCD cameras provide fast, accurate,
reliable and repeatable refraction and keratometry readings.
 
The TOMEY RC-4000 incorporates Dual CCD imaging cameras for fast,
reliable and repeatable measurements. One camera captures the image
for measurement, while the second camera registers the eye positioning
for repeatability. And, it does all of this in 0.3 seconds. If the
joystick button is held down the RC-4000 will take consecutive
readings and display those readings in real-time on the video screen.

The RC-4000 provides precise and
efficient refraction and keratometry measurements and suggests contact
lens base curve value. Pupillary Distance (PD) is automatically
calculated when the refraction of both eyes is measured. The vertex
distance cam be adjusted for either frames or contact lenses. The
automated calculation of residual astigmatism assists in fitting RGP
lenses.
The RC-4000 will automatically detect to measure the IOL implanted
eyes or heavy cataract eyes.

Refraction and keratometry results are immediately available on screen
or from the built-in printer. Results can also be transferred to an
office database via the integral RS-232C data port.

The stand-by or sleep mode is automatically activated after five or
ten minutes (operator selected) of idle time. This reduces power
consumption and increases the overall life of the RC-4000. Simply push
the joystick button to reactivate the unit.
